Paul is an innovator at the intersection of mobility safety, colour science, and materials engineering. With a background in Aerospace Engineering (MSc, Delft University of Technology) and an MBA in Business Administration, Paul brings a unique blend of technical rigour and strategic vision to the coatings and automotive industries. 

As CEO and co-founder of Ink Invent BV, Paul leads the development of RheoLight™, an advanced pigment technology designed to enhance vehicle visibility for both humans and perception systems (i.e. LiDAR, Computer Vision). He is the principal author of the 3D Point-of-View (PoV) Visibility Label, published by SAE International, which sets a new benchmark for quantifying and improving vehicle visibility across complex shapes and lighting conditions. 

Through his global VisibilitySavesLives.org initiative, Paul advocates for integrating visibility performance into design and regulatory standards, fostering safer interactions in increasingly automated traffic environments. His thought leadership spans conferences such as the European Coatings Show, Coating Technology & Trends Summit, AxF User Forum, and X‑Rite Global Color Forums.
